How to prevent your tyres from getting punctured

Tyre puncture or flat tyres is one of the many causes for a car breakdown in the middle of the road. With a few tips and tricks, it can be very easy to prevent your tyres from getting punctured and prolong their life.

  1. Unless there is an emergency, try to avoid driving on roads where tyre damages are most likely to happen. These roads include areas around construction sites, road repairs, downed trees, power lines etc. Glass, nails and other sharp objects may lie in these areas and can damage your tyres.
  2. Inspect your tyres monthly to find weak tread or sidewall spots (if any) which are vulnerable to punctures.
  3. Tyre sealants protect the tyres from the inside. It is sprayed on through the valve and distributed fully around the inside by rotating the tyre. Make sure to have them applied in your tyres when you buy them.
  4. Increase the durability of your tyres with puncture resistant strips. These strips are applied in the inside of tread belt of tyres after they are removed from the rim.

With the above simple tips and tricks, you can easily prevent yourself from getting into an unpleasant situation, and save yourself from having flat tyres on your way to an important event. However, if you are one of those who are too lazy to take extra care of their tyres, Tows 2 Go is there for your rescue.
